In order to make sure our project is on time this summer; we began to take down the trees that need to be removed as a part of the construction. Most of the trees are located between 4 and 5, and on the driving range.
We started on #4 and have taken down 8 trees in that area. We will continue to work in this area as weather permit. This area will be the new driving range.

As we take these trees down, we rented a woodchipper to chip all of the small wood. These wood chips will be disposed of in our dump area, the larger wood that can be used as firewood has been stacked by the chipping green. If anyone wants any of the wood for their own personal use feel free to take as much as you want. We will continue to stack all of the firewood length wood there, and hopefully people will come and take it away.
We also removed 4 trees from the left side of #1 in order to reroute the fairway. Below will be the look into #1 green from the new landing are. From this point you are looking at 250 yards into the center of the green.
Our irrigation contractors continue to work their way around the golf course. They have completed all of the 10in pipe on 12 and are working on installing valves and T’s on 13 to complete the loop. The area between 14 and 15 has been completed, and they will continue around 18 green, and down 18 fairways, as the weather allows.

In order to connect the back 9 to the front 9, the contractor had to bore two pipes under the main entrance. One of these pipes is an 8in for irrigation water and the other is a 2in for the wiring. These pipes will be capped and reburied, until they get to this section to connect everything together.
Even with material delays, and Kentucky winter weather, the irrigation contractor has been working quickly on the back 9. Their finished product looks very good. There will be some areas that will settle, and those areas will be addressed by the contractor as they come up. Some areas will need to dry out before we can get back into them to fix the settling.
