We are continuing to progress in our construction project, the New #8 is almost completed, we are waiting for irrigation to be installed, then we will pour the new cart paths, and seed.
The pictures below show how the green was built, they started by digging out a cavity that is 12in deep, then they cut in the drainage. After filling the drain lines with gravel, they add the sand. We will grow the grass right on top of the sand.
The Bunkers have been shaped and drained on the new #8 also.
There has been a lot of change to our old driving range in a short period of time.
The large piles of topsoil that are still on #8 will be spread over the Tees, and the remaining construction area. Creating a nice seed bed for our turf to be grown on.
