Changes Continue as Construction Progresses
We have been very busy since my last post, and quite a bit has happened since then.
The new putting green and cart parking area have all be cut in and graded, #10 tees and green have been completed, #1 tees and mounding have been completed, and #9 green has been finished this week. Aspen is beginning to spread topsoil back on the disturbed areas, in preparation for seeding

Concrete cart paths have begun to be poured on new #8 and they will continue around to #9. We plan to pour around the proshop next and then finish up going down #1 fairway.
The driving range tee has been nearly completed, Aspen is cutting in drain lines this week and next. They will also be finishing up grading and beginning to spread the topsoil on that area.

The wall on #7 has come out and that green has been shaped and will be drained next week. We lifted the fairway in front of the green and opened up the lake, so it is more visible from the fairway.

Irrigation continues to work on the new construction areas and will complete the remaining holes on the front. We are still waiting the arrival of our new pump station and continue to work off of temporary tie into our old system, and are using our old system on 7, 8, 9, 16 and 12. With these temporary tie ins, we are not utilizing the new system to its full capabilities. We are only able to water greens, tees and fairways at our current water flow. As of now we are only able to use 250 gallons per minute to water the golf course. That means that we begin our irrigation cycle at 8:30pm and by the time everything gets watered, it is shutting off at 9:00am. This issue will be resolved with the delivery of our new pump station. We will be able to increase our flow to 1500 gallon per minute, which is about 50 heads at one time.
Once we have the irrigation complete, we will begin to seed new construction areas, and we will also be overseeding rough areas, and any areas in existing fairways that need some attention. Thank for bearing with us through the construction process, we will soon start to see less dirt and more green grass.
